OSOPADEC Chairman, Elder Sam Erejuwa has congratulated candidates elected on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) to represent various constituencies across the mandate areas in the legislative chamber of Ondo State.
The elected lawmakers include: Hon. (Prince) Abayomi Akinrutan (Ilaje I), Mrs Olawunmi Fayemi (Ilaje II) and Mr. Messiah Allen (Ese-Odo). While Hon. Abayomi Akinrutan will be serving his third term in the 10th Assembly; Fayemi and Allen are newly elected members of Ondo State House of Assembly.
Sam Erejuwa in his congratulatory message to the trio said: “On behalf of the Board, Management and Staff of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), I congratulate Hon. (Prince) Abayomi Akinrutan, Mrs. Olawunmi Fayemi and Mr. Allen Messiah Oluwatoyin on their victories at the House of Assembly Elections held on Saturday 18th March, 2023. With this victory, the elected lawmakers will be representing our people across the three (3) constituencies of OSOPADEC mandate areas in the Ondo State House of Assembly.
“The legislative arm of government is a symbolic representation of the people in government, a key institution and agent of democratic consolidation. Your elections therefore attest to your popularity, indelible personality, passion for the development of your constituencies and the prosperity of your constituents”.
Similarly, Erejuwa felicitated with Hon. (Mrs) Morenike Witherspoon and Hon. Oladapo John Biola for being elected to represent Owo Constituency II and Ondo West Constituency II respectively. The duo were former Commissioners on the Board of the Commission.
He attributed the landmark victory recorded by the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the just concluded House of Assembly polls across the State to the clear vision and good leadership quality displayed by Mr. Governor over the last six years.
According to him, the REDEEMED Agenda of the Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON has given birth to human capital and visible infrastructural developments across the nooks and crannies of the State.
The Chairman enjoined the newly elected lawmakers to be progressive partners by joining hands with the Governor to continue his assignments and sustain his determination to ensure that the dividends of democracy is brought to all and sundry.
Erejuwa equally commended the good people of the Sunshine State for being progressive in orientation and courageous to elect credible candidates through a free, fair and credible process.
