A call has gone to workers to be abreast and be on the cutting edge in order to be efficient.

OSOPADEC Charman, Hon. Gbenga Edema, made the call at a one-day leadership development training programme organized for the board and management staff of the Commission at the weekend.

The event which took place at the Public Service Training Institute, PSTI, Ilara Mokin, a suburb of the State capital, was organized by the Commission in partnership with Olabisi Fayombo & Co (Chartered Accountants).

Presenting his opening remarks, a representative of the partner, Mr. Tunde Oguntuga, said the training was put together to create a forum for interaction, while assuring that the topics were broad based.

Presentations were made on safety, leadership, critical thinking as well as time management and work ethics.

In the programme review, participants numbering about 70, gave favourable assessments of the exercise. They, however, suggested that it be extended beyond a day and to include junior staff in subsequent editions.
