OSOPADEC Chairman, Elder Sam Erejuwa has expressed satisfaction over the quality job so far delivered at the General Hospital, Agadagba Obon, in Ese-Odo LGA assuring that the project would be delivered for public use in no distant time.

This assurance was expressed by the Chairman of the interventionist agency during an unscheduled assessment visit paid to the construction site on Saturday November 11.

Erejuwa who lauded the project contractor, Cimar Valexim Nig. Ltd. for living up to expectation assured the people of the mandate area that OSOPADEC under his watch will not relent in making life meaningful for them through the initiation and execution of life-changing projects and human capital development.

“This is an unscheduled visit to inspect and assess the level of job done in this health facility. So far so good, I can tell you that we are impressed for what has so far been achieved.

“Health they say is wealth. On many occasions, I have reiterated that the welfare of our people will always be our topmost priority. This necessitated the need to revisit and re-award abandoned projects across different parts of the mandate areas. The General Hospital, Agadagba Obon is of major concern to us because we cannot afford to gamble with the lives of our people.

“We have been able to achieve this feat with the help of God; and by HIS special grace, the project would be completed and commissioned for public use in no distant time.

“Though OSOPADEC is greatly in need of fund to finance ongoing projects across every axis in the mandate areas. However, this facility will always receive maximum attention, and the contractors will be adequately mobilized as expected” Erejuwa stressed.

While lauding the paramount ruler of Arogbo Ijaw Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty Pere Zaccheaus Doubra Ebgunu (JP), Opukutu III, the Agadagba of Arogbo Ibe and his subjects for cooperating with the contractors and for protecting the project, the Chairman assured that the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON is a critical stakeholder in the mandate area and will continue to bring dividends of democracy to their doorsteps.

It would be recalled that the General Hospital, Agadagba Obon was initially awarded in December 2010 to Cimar Valexim Nig. Limited, but was halted due to paucity of fund. However, the Sam Erejuwa led Board identified the project as a star project thereby reviewing and re-awarding the contract.

The ancient Ijaw town was agog with jubilation on Tuesday 21 June, 2022 when OSOPADEC Chairman, Sam Erejuwa led the Board and Management of the Commission to handover the hitherto abandoned project to its contractor.

In attendance was the paramount ruler of Arogbo Ijaw Kingdom, with his chiefs and subjects who assured maximum protection for the project and the entire workforce.
