It was a great fun and pageantry as Staff of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, OSOPADEC gathered to mark the 19th edition of the Staff Cooperative Multipurpose Society Annual General Meeting (AGM).

This year’s event tagged: “Reinstating Survival and Sustainability – Cause for Total Prosperity” was held on Thursday 4th May at the Corporate Headquarters of the Commission and supervised by the Ondo State Cooperative Services.

The event witnessed a large turnout of Cooporators from the Head Office as well as staff from the Area Office.

Declaring the event opened, the Chairman of the Commission, Elder Sam Erejuwa, represented by the Director, Administration and Supplies, Barrister Bayo Ololajulo applauded the leadership of the OSOPADEC Staff Cooperative Multipurpose Society (CMS) for proper fund management and efficient administration.

Erejuwa further wished the Cooperators well, prayed for divine protection and journey mercy back to their different destinations.

In his welcome address, the President of the OSOPADEC CMS, Pastor Sunday Samagbeyi appreciated the Chairman and Management of the Commission for providing the Society an enabling environment to operate in accordance with its Bye-law.

Samagbeyi further revealed that with the wisdom of God, and cooperation received from the Cooperators, the CMS has been able to record a significant and higher Net Surplus compared to the one realized in the previous year.

The President assured that he and his team will continue to give utmost priority to the welfare of their members through quick approval of loans applications, procurement of food and household items, and organisation of life impacting training and skill acquisition programs.

While reacting, Pastor Ojuolape J.O, Deputy Director who represented the Ondo State Director of Cooperative Services, Mr. Braiye Williams commended the Samagbeyi led-executive for its vision and purposefulness which has paved the way for tremendous impact on the Society. He equally commended the Cooperators for their cooperation and maturity.

He however advised on the need to be conscious and save for the raining days.

According to him, savings in their Cooperative accounts will make life easier at retirement.

In her presentation, Mrs Juliet Lawal of the Federal Mortgage Bank revealed that over 50 applications for housing loans received from the Commission are being processed for approval.

She commended the OSOPADEC Staff CMS for its age-long partnership, assuring that the Bank will continue to give prompt response to its requests and demands.

Cooperators who spoke at the event congratulated the Executives of the CMS on the success of the 19th edition of the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Mr. Kehinde Aladetan, Barrister Jimi Arowolo and Mrs. Olubunmi all passed vote of confidence on the Samagbeyi Administration for the successes recorded since the assumption of office. They however advised that the team should not relent in preserving legacies and breaking new grounds.

Among those in attendance were: Apostle Sola Orisamoluwa (Director, Human Resources and Business Development, Engr. Allen Eregha (Director, Project Monitoring and Evaluation) and Engr. Steven Ogunsemore (Director, Project, Planning and Development).

Others include: Mr. Wale Mafolabomi (Director, Community Welfare), Engr. Victor Erukubami (SA to OSOPADEC Chairman on Technical Matters), Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors and Staff of the Ondo State Cooperative Services.
