Corps members who had their one year national assignments at the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), have been admonished to remain responsible and good ambassadors of the Commission and their fatherland as they go into the lager society.

The Chairman of the Commission, Sam Erejuwa gave this admonition on Thursday 3rd November during a commendation and farewell program organized in honour of the Corps members who have just concluded their compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Scheme at the Commission.

Represented by the Commission’s Secretary Dr. Victor Koledoye, Erejuwa appreciated the ex-Corps members for performing excellently well during their service year.

As they go into the labour market, Erejuwa charged the ex-corps members to discover and build on their talents as this will distinguish them among their contemporaries.

“There are still abundant opportunities in spite of the harsh economy. It is therefore important for you to make good use of your talents and skills to advance yourselves in your areas of comparative advantage. Do not join bandwagons of sit on the fence. Rather, be original, make judicious use of your time, and success will surely come your way” Erejuwa said.

Earlier in his welcome address, Director, Human Resources and Business Development, Apostle Sola Orisamoluwa on behalf of the Chairman, Management and Staff of the Commission appreciated the ‘ex-Corpers’ for their meritorious service to the commission, praying for divine protection.

In their separate goodwill messages, the ex-corps members were full of appreciation to the management and staff of the Commission for making their stay memorable. They prayed for the progress of the Commission. Mr. Omojugbagbe Olawale on behalf of his colleagues promised to always reflect on the good lessons and experiences acquired during the service year.

Similarly, another ex-NYSC member, Oluwatoyin Ogunsusi (Mrs.) expressed deep gratitude to the staff of the Commission for being good guardians as well as ensuring the prompt payment of their stipends. This she said has made their stay ‘a sweet and glorious ride’.

Amongst those present to celebrate the outgone corps members were the SA to OSOPADEC Chairman on General Duties, Hon. Akola Daramola, Director Project Monitoring and Evaluation Engr. Allen Eregha.

Others were: Deputy Directors, Mr. Austin Iyanoye (Administration), Mrs. Adebimpe Aletile (Human Resources), Mrs. Stella Tony-Ogunkua (Protocol) and Mr. Leke Gbayisemore (Assistant Director, Human Resources).
