OSOPADEC Chairman, Sam Erejuwa has joined other world leaders to congratulate Nigerians as the country marks its 63rd Independence anniversary.
In a congratulatory message issued in the early hours of today, Erejuwa commended Nigerians from all walks of life for their patriotism and for sustaining the vision of the Nation’s nationalists and heroes.
In his words: “On this auspicious day, marking the celebration of the 63rd anniversary of our independence and sovereignty, I congratulate Nigerians at home and those in the diaspora for witnessing this symbolic occasion.
“Undoubtedly, for the past decades, series of challenges has threatened the unity and existence of the nation. However, in the midst of these daunting challenges, we have remained united, purposeful, visionary, optimistic and united as a people of a great Nation; knowing fully well that these challenges are surmountable. This current phase will soon fade away and Nigeria shall get better, stronger and more prosperous.
“As we celebrate this special day and mark this significant milestone in the history of our Great Nation, I urge you, my fellow compatriots across different Nations and continents of the world to remain patriotic, tolerant and forge ahead in our little contributions to the growth and development of our fatherland. The labour of our past heroes must not be in vain. I am confident that Nigeria shall be great again”.
Erejuwa appealed to the people to remain calm and unflinching in their prayers and support for the President Tinubu led administration, as it put in place policies and measure to restore the Nation’s lost glories, reclaim her seat among community of nations and boost the status of her citizens in the international community.
