OSOPADEC MEETS CONTRACTORS, CONSULTANTS

Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, OSOPADEC, will pursue and track down all Contractors who had collected mobilization fees but failed to do their jobs or who performed below expectation.

The Chairman of the Commission, Barr. Olugbenga Edema, expressed this position at a meeting with 81 Contractors and 15 Consultants which took place at the Commission’s Headquarters at Oba-Ile today.

Barr. Edema said working Contractors on their sites would get idle youths off militancy into productive engagements.

He promised regular interactions with the Contractors, while assuring them that their grievances would be looked into.

Earlier, the Contractors and Consultants had spoken of non-release of funds to them as the major problem hindering the completion of their jobs.

They, however, expressed confidence in the State Government and the new Board of the Commission to give inactive projects a new lease of life.

The meeting which was the first of its type by the Commission, was attended by the entire Board members as well as the Management and Staff of the Commission with the Alagho of Odo-Nla  in Ilaje Local Government Area, HRM Oba Elias Ikuomola being the royal father of the day.
