The construction of the Township road in Igbotu by the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) is gradually taking the desired shape, with adequate supply of required materials.

Progress report released by the Commission’s Project Department as at Mid- November indicated a completion of 700m and 350m drain on each other sides.

While the construction of the second culvert has reached an advanced stage of completion, the first culvert (8m x 125 x 0.85m) has been completed with headwall.

The report equally revealed that the materials required to facilitate the completion of the road has been supplied to site. These include: granites, stone-dust, sharp sand, iron, etcetera.

It would be recalled that OSOPADEC Chairman, Sam Erejuwa on Thursday 8th September led the Board and Management of the Commission to handover the construction of Igbotu Township road in Ese-Odo to Hidden Treasures Consulting Ltd- The Project Contractor.

The project was initially awarded in 2019, but construction could not commence due to paucity of funds.

However, the Sam Erejuwa led Board revisited the project and assured that the project will be delivered in record time.
