The construction of the 1km Township Road in Igbotu, Ese-Odo Local Government has finally been completed, and is due to be Commissioned for public use in the coming days.
This is in fulfilment of the promise made by the Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), Elder Sam Erejuwa to complete all abandoned projects before the expiration of the current administration.
It would be recalled that the virgin road was first awarded in 2019 but later abandoned by previous administration due to paucity of fund.
However, upon assumption of office, the Sam Erejuwa led board revisited the project, (together with other abandoned ones) promising to ensure their timely delivery for the benefits of the people in the mandate areas.
It was an epoch-making day when the Chairman led the Board and Management of the Commission to symbolically handover the construction of the 1km road to the project contractor, Hidden Treasures Consulting Limited on Thursday 8th September 2022.
During a physical assessment of the project, in the company of his Chiefs and some Technical Staff of the Project Department on Monday 23rd October 2023, the Gbaluwe of Igbotu, Oba Adeniyi Ajayi was full of praises to the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON for extending democratic dividends to the ancient town.
The monarch prayed for good health and sound mind for the people-loving Governor to successfully complete his tenure.
Oba Ajayi equally commended the OSOPADEC Chairman, Sam Erejuwa for keying into the developmental vision and REDEEMED Agenda of the State Government, assuring that all sons and daughters of Igbotu including the unborn ones, Apoi Land and the entire Ese-Odo Local Government will forever remain grateful and remember the laudable impacts of the current administration.
