OSOPADEC Chairman, Elder Sam Erejuwa yesterday met with the Area Manager, Setraco Nigeria Limited, Messrs Michel Rezek, the Contractor handling the construction of 4.72km Ugbonla – Eruona Road.

The meeting was a follow up to the determination of the Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu led government on the need to resuscitate and complete all abandoned projects in the Commission’s mandate areas thereby bringing about sustainable development and all round prosperity to the inhabitants of the Coastal area of the State.

The 4.72km Ugbonla – Eruona Road was first awarded in December, 2010 by the then Governor, Dr Olusegun Rahman Mimiko, to aid development and improve the socioeconomic conditions of the Niger Delta region of the State. This goal was however not met due to irreconcilable differences.

The Sam Erejuwa led Board in its avowed commitment to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Ilaje/Ese-Odo Local Government Areas has however set the pace for the construction of the road to bring back succour to the people.

In the meeting were OSOPADEC Secretary, Dr. Victor Koledoye, the Consultant to the road project, Engr. Tunde Alabi.

Others were; Director Accounts, Mr. Vincent Ikuomola, Director Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Engr. Allen Eregha, Special Assistant to the Chairman on Infrastructure, Engr. Victor Erukubami, Deputy Director Accounts, Alhaji Fatai Balogun, Deputy Director Project Planning & Development, Engr. Bunmi Filani, Deputy Director Project Monitoring & Evaluation, Engr. Dipo Aluko.
