The contractor handling the laying of the 45.61km water rising mains along Igbokoda/Ugbonla road, the twin project of the construction of the water treatment plant, both constituting the multi-billion Aboto water project, has been given up to the end of September this year to deliver.
OSOPADEC Chairman, Barr. Olugbenga Edema, handed down the ultimatum when he led the Board and Management of the Commission to the work site of CRCC, Thursday, where the coating of steel pipes for the project was in progress.
According to the OSOPADEC boss, the coating and laying of the steel pipes should be completed by the end of next month, and by the end of September, water should start flowing.
The OSOPADEC team had earlier inspected the Water Treatment plant which was commissioned by the previous administration on the eve of its departure.
Both the construction of the water treatment plant of 2 million gallons per day and the laying of 45.61km water rising mains were awarded in November 2014.
